QGC has NO respect for residents!
We have requested QGC halt their maintenance work in the Kate block of the Tara Estates on Good Friday, out of respect for those in our community.
Here is the letter i have sent to QGC’s Tony Heidrich:
ATTENTION: Tony Heidrich
I am formally requesting QGC halt their maintenance work at the Kate block in the Tara Estates, to observe Good Friday,as all businesses do, if for no other reason than to respect those in the community who do observe it.
Easter is a very important time for many, with lots of visitors to the estate, and we feel they should not have the intrusion of CSG activities impacting upon their families.

QGC – A BG Group business
By continuing their maintenance work on Good Friday, clearly shows this company really has no respect for our community, except to use the Tara town to throw money at when they are in need of some ‘good publicity’.
QGC has done absolutely nothing for the residents of the Tara Estates, except to compromise their lifestyles, health and safety.
QGC has treated the residents of the Tara Estates with contempt right from the very beginning, when they first came in with their land consultant who claimed they were coming in whether we liked it or not and there was not a damn thing we could do about it.
We have had many dealings with QGC’s arrogance, from QGC security who are wannabe police- who like to intimidate residents just because they think they can, to the company puppets who spin the company spiel, to landconsultants who enjoy bullying the poor landowner with the threat of landcourt, to the QGC employee/contractors who like to tailgate and harrass drivers, sometimes to the point of almost causing accidents.
And now we come to our dealings with Management-QGC’s Senior Vice President himself, who finds impacts on residents acceptable, i do believe he prefers to use the term “Collateral Damage”
Now i know Anna Bligh and her cronies allowed this company into our area, and allowed them to treat us this way, but we the residents did NOT, We object to being “Collateral Damage” and will not stand for it!!!
