CSG Cowboys on our roads
Since CSG has come to our area, there have been many near misses on our roads with industry cowboys thinking they own our roads, and info received from an ex CSG employee claims that it is procedure for CSG vehicles to drive with their lights on and in the middle of the road, and not to move over for anyone, as they have more right to be on them then anyone else! (or so they like to think)
It is time for ALL CSG companies to take a stand with their employees/contractors and have a zero tolerance of this cowboy attitude BEFORE somebody gets killed!!!
There has already been at least one incident recently of a young driver having an accident after being run off the road by a CSG truck. I do believe that Origin have been contacted about this particular incident.
Origin have also been contacted recently of another incident, which could have had disasterous results had another vehicle been on the road at that particular time.
Fortunately we were able to provide registration details to them.
But Origin are not the only CSG company with cowboys, QGC also has its fair share of cowboys. You only have to travel Tara Chinchilla Rd past Kenya heading toward Chinchilla either of a morning or afternoon as their workers are heading to or from work.
Fortunately the roads are a bit better to deal with avoiding an accident, but that their have still been many instances of dangerous driving from QGC employees.
So if you travel on the roads in areas where there is a CSG activity, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
