Welcoming protest at CSG Summit
Over 100 people from all over Australia turned out to be part of the welcoming commitee for mining bosses’ at their annual CSG conference in Brisbane.
Police formed a line to keep the protestors away from the mining bosses and QLD Environment Minister Kate Jones, who preferred to stay inside the Sofitel rather than face the protestors.
Dayne ‘The Frackman’ Pratzky attempted to ‘LOCK THE GATE’, on the conference room doors by chaining them shut but was quickly subdued by police, handcuffed and taken away, where he was later released without charge.
It would appear that not only does the CSG Industry control our Government, they also control the staff at the Sofitel Hotel as well.
It is alleged that some concerned landholders and their CHILDREN were turfed out of their $350 a night room at the Sofitel, where the CSG Summit was being held, without a refund.
Witnesses state that they(the landowners) walked down quietly with their kids through the lobby with t-shirts saying don’t frack, security hassled them making the kids cry….. They then joined the protest, and were told by management that they were being thrown out of their rooms! Which they did, refusing refund.
………………….Since when does a hotel get to dictate what you do in your spare time????
While the mining execs, who are dictating the future of our land, remained smugly upstairs…..It would appear that the staff of the Sofitel were doing the dirty work for them and causing concerned landowners (who dared to take on the CSG industry) and their children to become very upset.
SHAME ON YOU SOFITEL, this is what we have come to expect from the CSG Industry, but NOT from a supposedly respectible business.
And why not give them a refund?
Surely with the CSG bosses running the show, it wasnt really neccessary to refuse a refund???….The CSG Industry makes BILLIONS of dollars, surely they could have covered the cost of the rooms, after all, it appears THEY were the reason the protestors were evicted!
