Peoples Blockade- Day 67

May 20, 2011 Debbi Group action

Hmmmm quite an interesting day today.

We have had some interesting conversations about QGC anticts, and a lot of stuff to follow up on over the coming days.

The ‘Lock the Gate’ campaign sees protest rallys popping up all over Australia in the coming weeks, where they will all try to have record crouds after  3000 turned out at Murwillumbah.

BASECAMP is a lot warmer after some new structures have been put around the place.

I hope those poor QGC security guards have a heater in them site offices. It gets really cold at night!

We have had lots of interest from other areas who want to bring people out to Tara to see the devestation caused by this industry first hand. Please do, it is the only way to really comprehend what is happening.

More and more  councils are calling for moratoriums on CSG. Singleton, Tweed, Byron, Lismore, Kyogle, just to name a few.
