People have arrived from everywhere to attend our festival.
A great turn out today, with even more expected again tomorrow, with most camping at the showgrounds, accomodation in town has been well utulised also.
Our kitchen has been flat out, with many mouths to feed, A BIG THANKYOU to Narelle and her crew for pitching in and making sure no-one goes hungry………no fights over dishes,with so many volunteers only too happy to pitch in………
Jack and Sam have been entertaining the people with their rope walking, the Nimbin crew are back with their Chai tea, along with the many forums and workshops.We have been entertained by John Veavea, Kenny Lawson(our local talent),John Gordon, Penelope Swales and Haystack Infusion…….(if i’ve forgotten to include anybody, dont worry, i will get you in future blogs)
One of the workshops tomorrow we will have Dancing with the activist…….must be there for that, that should be a real hoot!!!
BASECAMP is still operational, and surveillance of QGC still in progress.
Many of our visitors have been out for a look at the devestation already caused, by QGC.
So come on out to Tara, attend our festival, take a drive around and see the destruction caused by this industry (it could soon be coming to a place near you) and better prepare yourselves with the info to take on this industry in your own backyards.
