QGC security had an inspirational early morning reading of THE LORAX written by Dr Seuss,which was the copy that the EPA library cancelled.
(It was noted that one of the security guys even had a tear in his eye!)
The Lorax is a children’s book, written by Dr. Seuss and first published in 1971. It chronicles the plight of the environment and the Lorax, who speaks for the trees against the greedy Once-ler. As in most Dr. Seuss works, most of the creatures mentioned are original to the book. (Referenced from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lorax)
QGC have been flat out today as they continue there destruction at Bryce’s property.
They have dug the trench past Terra the tree, ready for the pipes.
Terra the tree remains standing, but has now been imprisoned as QGC have put a fence around it.
The police presence throughout the area is back again.
We have many supporters in the area, both at BASECAMP and at the Tara showgrounds for our Lock the Gate/Rock the Gate Festival, so we will be able to keep an eye on QGC activities throughout the area.
