Peoples Blockade-Day 13
As QGC get even closer to Wieambilla Road, we had discussions with our supporters and everyone appears to be well prepared.
We took old Barry and a few others for a bushwalk, to give them a feel of what will be lost if QGC are successful in destroying our estates by turning them into gas fields.
We sat watching the Kookaburras who drop down from the trees to pick up a mouse, the king parrots even did a fly bye.
Morale took a bit of a hit tonight, as we all sat and reflected on the day and talked about the devastation that is already being done, and that will only get worse if we lose.
As discussions wind up for the night, our playful banter has returned and we end the day more determined than ever to win this fight, as this is one that MUST be won, not just for ourselves, but for the whole of Australia.
This is the first step in protecting our water, air, food, and environment.
Our BASECAMP is open to anyone who wants to support our NON-VIOLENT ACTION, bring a tent and stay a few days.
Western Downs Alliance
That video tells it all. So much for our civil rights, our health, our ownership potential and our trust in government. We must keep telling the world. We need neither coal nor gas. We need solar and other power sources. If the government subsidised these industries like they are subsidising the coal industry we would have dirt (!!!) cheap energy and would be free of the powerful owners and operators of the grid. (Now there’s a thought!) Surely we and China and the world will benefit far more when we stop destroying the planet and work together to make it a good place to leave our grandchildren’s grandchildren!
