Peoples Blockade- Day 7
Still raining!
We have been out and about today, checking out QGC activities.
QGC are still unsure of just what we are up to, or what we will do next, which i guess explains the poor security guy standing outside the gate of the pipe yard, in the rain.
The dramatic police presence in the estate has been removed, i guess the government just couldnt justify the total waste of police resources any longer, especially as we have proven it is totally unneccessary!
We have managed to speak to numerous people over the last few days, and it seems almost everyone we spoke to knows someone who has had issues with the gas companies.
I find it very concerning that the only ones with anything good to say about this industry are the businesses and members of the community who are benefiting from sponsorship funding/donations.
They give a false impression to the businesses that they care about the community, when in actual fact it is a tactic commonly used by the gas industry to divide and conquer. It makes the business people who are happy to benefit from the industry turn on the landholder who is opposed to being impacted.
Just a note to the groups preparing to come and support us, if you have any special dietry requirements, could you please let us know. We try to cover a range of different foods, but it helps if we know in advance.
Once again we would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
